Hello all, sorry about the late post but with the shoulder surgery it gets to be difficult at times to type.  Well this tournament turned out to be a very good day to fish.  The weather man was calling for thunderstorms.   But the rain held off except for some minor drizzle through out the day.  It was a very successful day for all.  Everyone caught fish.  The one common thing among all anglers was the reports of lots of lost fish at the boat.  I for one had it happen multiple times and witnessed it at least 4 times.  Well thats why its called fishing!  Our winner once again was Rodney Bailey with his 3rd win in a row with a winning weight of 14.09 lbs.  Way to go Rod.  He was catching his fish on a Berkley Chigger craw in a green pumpkin color fished on a Flick/Shake jig head.  The fish seemed to want a very small jig head presentation that would make the chigger craw stand up in that defensive position.  The same bait texas rigged did'nt produce any strikes at all.  Rodney credits his Boater he fished with (Nelson Mejia) in figuring this out.  Nelson Mejia also had a very good day on the water with his second consecutive 2nd place finish with 14.04 lbs.  This one was all but in the bag for Nelson had it not been for multiple lost fish at the boat in the 3 to 4 lb range, and no it was not the net mans fault. He was also fishing a green pumpkin crazy leg chigger craw on a small weedless jig head.  Nelson figured them out early having his limit in the boat before 9:00 am.  Rodney and Nelson were fishing out of the same boat and were apparently on a very hot spot that held both largemouth and smallmouth in 5 to 8 foot of water on a rocky flat.  Nelson also won Lunker once again with his 4.04 lb smallmouth. Coming in 3rd for a second time was Alex Clark who had 12.01 lbs.  Alex was fishing a main lake rock jetty with multiple baits.  I also would like to thank John Hansen for showing up and still taking a new member (Doug Dempsey) out and showing him a great day on the water.  John had to fish under trolling motor power only due to a loss of a lower unit on a rock while out prefishing the day before. He was still able to manage a 6th place finish.  Once again thank you all for a very safe and successful day on the water!
